HP Spectre XT Touchsmart is a new member of the HP Spectre range of high end laptops. It is a high end 15.6-inch ultrabook built for Windows 8. HP Spectre XT Touchsmart comes in an attractive aluminium design that makes it a head turner. It features a touchscreen display and a backlit keyboard.

An ultra-slim PC

In case ultrabooks are new to you, basically an ultrabook is an ultra-slim laptop. It is the latest trend in laptops. The HP SpectreXT Touchsmart Ultrabook is just 18mm thick.

It features a brilliant 15.6-inch touch IPS display with an impressive 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, making it a great ultrabook for graphic designers. HP is also pushing this device further to designers by including Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements in the box.

HP SpectreXT Touchsmart, depending on the configuration you choose, features the latest Intel Ivy Bridge Core i5 or Core i7 processors. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and offers either a 500GB hard disk drive (HDD) or a 256GB solid state drive (SDD).

Inputs/Outputs on Ultrabook

HP SpectreXT Touchsmart Ultrabook supports Beats Audio, NFC, HDMI port, and USB 3.0 port. It also comes with a thunderbolt port, a super highspeed port notably used for accessing data from external HDDs. Thunderbolt ports are so fast that their speed of accessing data from external HDD matches the speed of the internal HDD.

HP SpectreXT Touchsmart Ultrabook is expected to start at a price of $1,399 (N217,000).
